Overture Cohort for 2025-2026 Announced

New Adventures is delighted to announce the Overture cohort for 2025/2026.

Overture is a unique program designed to develop, inspire, and energise the next generation of community dance artists. Through a blend of monthly classes, guest speakers, workshops, and mentoring, the Overture cohort delve deeply into what community practice means to them. The programme helps artists to reflect on where they are now and equip them with tools to elevate their practice to the next level. The Overture cohort are able to build a supportive network and learn to harness each other's strengths to become a versatile and impactful community dance artist.

Our first weekend in September was all about considering where the participants are now. Asking questions such as, what are your values, where you’ve been, and where you’d like to be. The weekend consisted of a balance of practical and reflective sessions which gave a basis to examine personal practice as well as thought provoking coaching and networking to bring our cohort all together. We talked, danced, laughed, while being brave and open minded. What a weekend it was!
