Lydia Povey

Lydia began her dance training at the age of 5 with Natalie Pearl at First Position School of Dance in Bournemouth. She continued her training through the Royal Ballet School’s Associates programme before going on to work professionally as a character and parade performer at Disneyland Paris.

In 2018, Lydia returned to the UK to complete her teacher training with the Royal Academy of Dance. She has since gained teaching qualifications in a range of styles and works as a freelance dance teacher at several other local dance schools.

Lydia has been particularly inspired by Natalie Pearl’s work in encouraging boys into dance, and is passionate about continuing to support and develop this area in her own teaching practice.
