In April 2024 a new Placement programme was launched by New Adventures. The aim was to host a number of technical placements across the 30th Anniversary tour of Swan Lake, The Next Generation.
Across the tour our incredible technical touring team hosted over 30 placements. Our Lighting / Sound / Stage Management / Wardrobe / Stage and Wham departments opened the backstage doors and welcomed in some fantastic, enthusiastic, and promising new talent to work alongside them. They were given the chance to see the magic happen first hand with a truly experienced team and to get hands on experience in a safe and nurturing environment.
Some of our placements are now working as prominent members of the team on our current touring shows!
I had an absolute ball and learned so much from the team. I was able to fit in so well with everyone and felt like I belonged. It exceeded my expectations and solidified my ideas for my future career as a hopeful touring crew member.
Stage Management Placement – Swan Lake
We have so many amazing placement partners we work with to host our placements. Together with our Placemaker venues we collaborate to offer unique experiences and opportunities to explore the backstage world of technical theatre and dance.
We are excited to announce that the programme will now be extended onto The Red Shoes which will begin a UK tour in Autumn 2025!
