Announcing our Emerging Artist for 2025-2026

7 July 2025

We are thrilled to announce our next New Adventures Emerging Artist, Isabella Chandler.

The Emerging Artist role is a talent development scheme that supports dancers as they transition from professional training to working in the industry, with a particular focus on developing those who are underrepresented. The dancers are mentored by New Adventures dance artists throughout the year and take part in company classes, residencies, as well as dedicated studio time with

the Resident Artistic Associate, principal dancers and dance artists. Their journey continues throughout a performing contract with a New Adventures touring production.

Isabella Chandler, who has recently graduated from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, will make her New Adventures debut in Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes, opening at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 17 November 2025 ahead of a seven-week Christmas season at Sadler’s Wells. Isabella will be taking part in Swan School, 2025, a residency programme which gives insight into the working practices and methodology of New Adventures.

Throughout the programme, Isabella will be mentored by New Adventures Resident Artist and principal dancer Glenn Graham who will also be touring with The Red Shoes.

I’m delighted to be mentoring a new generation of dancers because it’s something I never had. We hope the programme offers rigour and resilience...giving dancers the opportunity to learn all that touring life and company environment has to offer.

The Emerging Artist programme is supported by the Lynne & Land Foundation and Suzanne Lofthus
