2025 has been one of our most significant and successful years yet, marked by extraordinary milestones, record-breaking touring, and a deepening connection with audiences and communities across the UK and beyond.
At the heart of the year was the truly special celebration of the Swan Lake's 30th anniversary. This landmark production welcomed more than 400,000 audience members, demonstrating the enduring power of the work to captivate new generations while remaining cherished by long-standing fans.
Beyond this unforgettable anniversary, 2025 was our most ambitious touring year to date. We travelled to more places, for more weeks, than any other dance company in the UK. Highlights included The Midnight Bell, performed by fourteen of New Adventures’ finest leading actor/dancers, who together brought nearly 30 years of experience with Matthew Bourne’s repertoire to the stage.
Our commitment to communities remained central in everything we do. Through our Communities programme, more than 5,000 people welcomed Doorstep Duets into their neighbourhoods across the South East, while 7,500 participants were engaged through our Take Part sessions. We also gifted 1,100 free tickets to local schools and community groups, ensuring that people not only watched our productions but left feeling connected, inspired and part of our work.
The impact of our long-term investment in talent development was clearer than ever. An extraordinary 62% of the company of The Red Shoes has progressed through our Talent Development programmes, highlighting the strength and sustainability of our approach to nurturing the next generation of dance artists.
Our reach extended far beyond the stage. Nearly 30,000 new followers joined us online, and an astonishing 1.9 million people connected with our work on the big screen, both at home and in cinemas.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to tour The Red Shoes and The Car Man, with even more to come. We cannot wait to continue this incredible journey with you.
