Jodie Cole is a choreographer, movement director, facilitator, & performer, & is lead artist at Jodie Cole Dance. Jodie works internationally in communities, on large-scale site-specific projects, in theatre, & is trained to level 3 British Sign Language. In 2021 Jodie was appointed as Weston Jerwood Creative Fellow for her leadership potential as an inclusive practitioner. In 2022 Jodie Cole Dance toured Boogie Booth, a popup participatory dance experience with embedded BSL. In 2023 Jodie explored "Class, Collaboration, & Complex PTSD" as part of her Arts Council DYCP, and created "Feel The Beat", a participatory dance show with embedded audio description that plays with sensory ways into dance. Jodie is an associate for the Jerwood Toolkit promoting socio-economic diversity in the arts, is associate artist with Arts & Homelessness International exploring her experiences of homelessness in solo dance making, and continues to create and facilitate dance nationally. Jodie is delighted to be dance ambassador at MBNA and the Marlowe and looks forward to working with communities across Kent.
