Auditions
NEW ADVENTURES hold yearly auditions to cast the upcoming season repertory. It also holds occasional auditions for specific roles, when needed.
We accept CV's and Resume's throughout the year, and will consider your application at the time of the next available audition. Please send a hard copy of your cv along with a portrait photograph and a covering letter (but no show reels please) to:

NEW ADVENTURES auditionees require at least 3 years dance training at a recognised Dance College (Contemporary, Classical or Musical Theatre). Individuality and a love of performance are essential.
Excerpt from an interview where Matthew Bourne describes the kind of dancers that he is looking for in New Adventures Auditions...
Possibly because of his own unusual training path, when choosing dancers for his work, Bourne places little emphasis on how or where a dancer was trained: "What I look for is a passion for movement, because often I'm looking for performers who will eventually need to act as well as dance. And I believe that the passion of wanting to give to an audience—to connect, to show them what you're trying to say—is the first steppingstone toward acting. Also, I look for people who have an individual attitude toward what they do. And that's because if you're telling stories onstage, it needs to look like the real world. Particularly if you want your work to connect with a large audience; they need to be able to relate to the people they see on stage. So I try to get as big a range as possible of shapes, sizes, looks and background"

2012 Auditions Announced...
NEW ADVENTURES ANNUAL AUDITIONS 2012
25th Anniversary Year
Artistic Director, Matthew Bourne will be holding
annual auditions for various projects with New Adventures Company in 2012 /13
We are looking for professional dancers with three years vocational training, strong technique and a personality to match. We will only be inviting those not previously auditioned. Dancers previously seen that we might want to see again will be invited to any recall sessions.
Auditions will take place on Sat 17th March (women only) and Sat 24th March (men only). If you have not previously auditioned for New Adventures and would like to be considered please
post a CV, headshot and covering letter (no showreels or email applications please) by Fri 2nd March 2012 to:

We will contact you by email if you are to be invited to audition on the above dates. Please be sure to include an e-mail address and phone number you use regularly as attendance is by invitation only.
