SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE...
Posted on Sunday 31 January 2010
In what was something of a first for prime-time tv, the BBC's hit dance competition, "So You Think You Can Dance" featured the "Cygnet Dance" from New Adventures' Swan Lake. Matthew Bourne and Associate Director, Etta Murfitt this week taught the 4 remaining boys, Alistair, Drew, Robbie and Tommy, the most iconic dance from our most famous production.
Fans of New Adventures will recognise Drew McOnie from several New Adventures productions, including Edward Scissorhands, The Car Man and Dorian Gray. He was also a memorable Fritz in Nutcracker 2 years ago. Those will longer memories will recognise, Alistair Postlethwaite, who was our first company apprentice in Swan Lake, way back in 2000.
See what the boys managed to achieve in just 2 rehearsals...
