THEATRE AWARDS UK 2011
Matthew Bourne picked up the "Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award" on behalf of NEW ADVENTURES, nominated for our record breaking production of CINDERELLA. Associate Directors and Company Members of over twenty years, Etta Murfitt and Scott Ambler, were on hand to share in the triumph, along with New Adventures Director, Robert Noble and Matthew Bourne's partner, Arthur Pita.
The THEATRE AWARDS UK (Formally the TMA Awards) are the only major awards to recognise country-wide regional theatre and were presented, over lunch, on Sunday 30th October at the Whitehall Banqueting Hall in London.
In his acceptance speech Matthew Bourne said " New Adventures is all about bringing together brilliant, talented people to make great dance/theatre. Whats nice about an award for "production" is that its for everyone involved, and I share this with the entire team responsible for this wonderful production"
